Soul Pride Retreat Festival, an inclusive and transformative weekend for the LGBTQIA community and their allies, will be held in the glorious woodland of Wasing Park Estate in Berkshire, from Thursday 8th July to Sunday 12th July.
The weekend, led by the world’s leading LGBTQIA warriors of wellbeing, is specifically designed to support the mind body and soul needs of the community. Providing an opportunity and safe space for open discussion and to address topics that specifically affect the LGBTQIA community.
The programme offers a wide range of activities including health and wellness workshops, well-being talks, fitness, yoga and Pilates during the day. Followed by a joyous festival of cabaret, spoken word, circus acts, live music, DJ’s and woodland dancing every evening. The full programme and list of contributors will be announced in April.
Soul Pride Retreat Festival ‘Early Bird’ tickets are on sale and can be purchased through the website – www.soulpride.org .
Soul Pride also launches with an ‘Angel Sponsorship’ scheme this year. Giving those who are financially able the opportunity to donate the gift of a free ticket to someone less fortunate who would really benefit from attending the weekend.
In order to raise awareness and support the community further, Soul Pride are partnering Stonewall – a charitable trust who campaign for the equality of lesbian gay, bi and trans people across Britain.
Chris Fitchew, Creative Director of Wonderment Group said:
“We’re delighted to announce Soul Pride will take place in person this year. We know the more we nurture our mind, body and soul through meditation, mental health support, yoga, fitness, spiritual exploration and healthy nutritious food, the more we will rise out of our caged emotions.”
“In a world divided, we must come together and unite in our common goal – to support one another, care for one another and have empathy and compassion for everyone’s individual success and challenges, taking lessons from the gift of stillness and reflection.”
“Soul Pride is an opportunity for us to bond together in community and nature and provides a safe space to own our LGBTQIA stripes, badges and wings with full force. To enjoy a sense of belonging and give us the armour and permission to return to who we really are.”
“Let us ALL have pride in our soul.”
